Season trend: perforation
Clothes and accessories with perforation – another allusion on the fashion exhibitionism.
From season to season, perforation becomes more and more popular. If until recently shaped patterns decorated accessories, bags and shoes, now we can meet perforated dresses, tops, skirts and even coats as, for example, in Alexander Wang collections. On the Spring-Summer 2014 Fashion Week, similar models were met practically in every collection. An interesting point was that the focus was not just on perforated fabrics, but on thin leather treated with laser.
A little history
As a method of material processing, perforation appeared relatively recently, since lasers and computer technologies have ceased to be the prerogative of scientists and came to normal life. Its prototype are considered lace and guilloche, a method when with the help of a fine needle the craftsmen performed skillful, patterned ornaments on the fabric.
-A full set of perforated clothings look cool only on the podium, hence in daily activities try to put an accent on one element of the outfit.
-Light cloaks with perforation will look spectacular on top of cocktail dresses.
-Tops with big holes must be worn on top of monochromatic, base clothings in contrasting colors. This way you will one up another trend – multi-layering.
-Shoes and bags with perforations – an ideal option for summer. These will easily “complicate” a minimalistic accessory.
