Contrast colors Louis Vuitton Resort Collection 2015
The new designer of Louis Vuitton fashion brand, Nicolas Ghesquière, presented the audience the first midseason work. In order to make an impression and to slightly depart from the centenary tradition of the Fashion house to make presentation in Paris, the author of clothes invited guests and journalists in Monaco.
The young designer presented it preserving the same approach noted as well in the continuation of Fall-Winter collection which was warmly welcomed few months ago.
As an inspiration for the resort show was the upcoming Formula 1 race. Many outfits created the impression of a racing suit. Short jackets, streamline shape sunglasses and leather inserts on the clothes – all these are associated with the track and super-fast cars.
The combinations of dense and light fabrics, fastener in the form of zippers are techniques which Ghesquière adopted on blazers, blouses, dresses and jackets. Rectangular shape small bags and accessories in trapezoid shape with short handles complemented such extraordinary outfits.
Besides daring dresses, in the collection were also noted the warm nautical theme. Prints, reminiscent of coral and marine plants, in combination with light fabrics and loose cut clothing gave the sensation of flying and fairy tales. Lightweight short A-silhouette sundresses and skirts in trapezoid shape can already be called the favorite styles of the author.
Medium length skirts with flounces combined with elongated tops create the impression that the model is wearing a summer dress. This decision was very successful, because for example replacing the top with a T-shirt you can have a completely new outfit. Also, flounces can be seen on the hem of coats and dresses.
Patent leather in bright colors was again presented on the podium. Laconic jackets and coats look attractive in spring.
Despite the tendency to shorten pants, Nicolas Ghesquière gave preference to long models, which almost completely hide the shoes. The fashion designer proposed to combine high waist classic pants with blouses with an unusual cut.
The author added a belt with a big buckle and large pockets to mid-thigh fitted jackets.
Multilayered looks in contrasting colors are Ghesquière visit cards. His collections can be studied for hours and every time there is a detail lost during the last review.
“Don’t be afraid to be bold!” says the designer. Today in trend is originality and uncommonness.
